In order to face the wastewater treatment needs of a small island near Athens called Agistri a compact MBR wastewater treatment plant was specified.
The treatment plant is designed for 3000 equivalent people and it consists of a pretreatment phase, a Membrane Bio Reactor, a UV reactor for disinfection and a sludge dewatering unit.
The MBR has three independent lines with capacity 750, 750 and 1500 equivalent people each to cover winter and summer needs when the island population increases. Each line has SINAP 80-120 modules installed in it.
